Load, Haul & dump
Across our active projects Taifa operates a mixed fleet of 35 – 100 tonne Rigid Dump Trucks and 50 – 165 tonne class excavators. The earth-moving teams have a dedicated fleet-support group enabling continuous remote operations. Our operators are trained in-house, and we employ a dedicated team of specialist technicians and mechanics capable of overhauling major components on site.
Site Rehabilitation
During the working life of the mine-site Taifa mitigates the environmental impact of the project by screening waste rock-dumps using the removed topsoil, enabling regrowth. Once a resource is exhausted, and depending upon desired post-operation use, Taifa partners with local stakeholders to ensure the site is thoroughly rehabilitated, topsoil replaced and fully replanted with indigenous seedlings from our nurseries.
Taifa can design and construct landforms as well as establish sustainable ecosystems or alternative vegetation, in addition to providing ongoing programs designed to restore to required state the physical, chemical and biological quality of air, land and water regimes.
