Environmental Policy

This policy applies to all Taifa Mining and Civils Limited employees. Taifa Mining and Civils Limited’s Chief Executive Officer has the overall responsibility for ensuring processes are in place to provide for better protection of the environment across the company.

Taifa Mining and Civils Limited is committed to sustainable development and we recognize that the long-term sustainability of our business is dependent upon good stewardship in both the protection of the environment and the efficient management of the natural resources.

All Company Employees are required to act in accordance with company environmental policies and procedures.

Taifa Mining and Civils Limited is committed to making continuous improvements in the management of our environmental impacts. We work in partnership with our customers to promote environmental stewardship. Everyone at Taifa Mining and Civils Limited has a role to play – this Environmental Policy outlines our individual and shared responsibilities to the environment.

Our values and business principles as a Company are based on a “zero harm” environmental management performance, they underpin our environmental policy and represent the minimum guidelines for the Company in this respect. We will ensure that employees are aware of this policy as well as the relevant responsibilities which it sets out.

We will:

  • Comply with all applicable environmental laws, regulations and requirements
  • Ensure that resources are available to meet our environmental obligations
  • Conduct audits to monitor, measure and evaluate the effectiveness of our environmental management systems,
  • Audit our compliance with legislation and investigate all environmental incidents in order to prevent recurrence
  • Set targets for continuous improvement
  • Communicate this policy to employees and stakeholders

We are committed to:

  • Complying with relevant industry standards relating to the management of environmental risks
  • Putting in place pollution prevention measures
  • Establishing and maintaining management systems to identify, monitor and con-trol the environmental aspects of our activities.

Where appropriate, we may require employees to undertake training to ensure they are complying with best industry practices and all applicable environmental laws, regulations and requirements
