OHS Policy
This policy applies to all Taifa Mining and Civils Limited employees. Taifa Mining and Civils Limited’s Chief Executive Officer has the overall responsibility for ensuring processes are in place to provide a healthy and safety workplace across the company.
At Taifa Mining and Civils Limited, safety and health are the basic value that underlines everything we do. We only achieve success if all our employees, and visitors return from our project sites safe and healthy. All Company Employees are required to act in accordance with company policies and procedures.
We will:
- Continually work to identify hazards and mitigate risks at our properties to the lowest possible levels in order to achieve zero occupational injuries and illnesses
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations and requirements
- Take a proactive approach toward creating a safe work environment for all employees
- Be accountable for promoting continued safety and health education and training for all employees
- Create, maintain, and assign responsibility for the safety and health management system;
- Review the safety and health management system to identify potential areas of continual improvement
- Ensure a thorough evaluation of all incidents to prevent re-incurrence
- Communicate this policy to employees and stakeholders
In implementing the safety and health management system, Taifa Mining and Civils Limited shall take a fair and just approach. At- risk behaviours are not to be accepted and reinforcement of positive behaviour and proactive approaches to safety and health are to be applied.
Effective application of this Safety Management Systems will assist in:
- Providing a safe place of work
- Minimizing injury and harm to employees
- Minimizing damage and loss to property, equipment
- Maximizing productivity
- At a minimum, meeting and preferably surpassing statutory obligations.
Taifa Mining and Civils Limited’s safety values are based upon ethical conduct and teamwork. To ensure continuous improvement, management systems will be tested, re-evaluated and continually re-viewed. This safety management systems are based on the belief that all injuries are unacceptable, and a total commitment from all employees is necessary to perform all tasks safely to achieve zero injuries.
