1998 – Present
PETRA DIAMONDS WILLIAMSON DIAMOND MINE
Since 1998, Taifa Mining & Civils has been operating at Williamson Diamond Mine. The mine initially operated at a capacity of 4 million tons per annum, ramping up to 10 million tonnes per annum in 2010. In 2024 Taifa hauled an average of 1 million tons of ore per month.
2006 – 2015
RESOLUTE GOLDEN PRIDE MINE
Mining services at Resolute Gold’s Golden Pride Mine – Contract mining operations commence in July 2007 at Golden Pride gold mine for Resolute Mining Ltd., and completed in Dec. 2012. Taifa operated a fleet of 15 Caterpillar 777 off highway trucks for the duration of the life-of-mine contract, moving a total of 20 million bank cubic meters.
2022 – Present
BARRICK NORTH MARA GOLD MINE
In 2024 Taifa completed tailing storage facilities lift 2 at North Mara.
Since 2022 Taifa has been providing mining contract services at North Mara, hauling an average of 300,000 tons of ore per month
2004 – 2009
BARRICK TULAWAKA GOLD MINE
Mine establishment & contract mining operations began at Tulawaka gold mine in Tanzania for Barrick Gold in 2004, and Taifa continued as the mining contractor for the duration of the mine life, moving a total of 14 million bank cubic meters, utilising a purpose bought and sized Komatsu fleet.
2003 – 2006
ANGLO GOLD ASHANTI GEITA GOLD MINE
Taifa Mining & Civils was awarded successive contracts for construction of the main airstrip, construction of the Tailing Storage Facility (TSF) stage 6 and stage 7, and construction of multiple ancillary outer buildings.
2013 – 2024
BARRICK BULYANHULU GOLD MINE
In 2013 Taifa was awarded contracts for the completion of a new cil expansion project and construction of the tailing storage facility (TSF) stage 4. In 2024 Taifa was awarded contract for construction of a box cut portal for access to a new underground mine.
